Port City Initiative was selected for the United Nations "Science Decade" program, creating cold technology to promote the global landing of radiation refrigeration technology.
Chuang Leng Technology is honored to participate in an international cooperation project led by the City University of Hong Kong."Innovation for a Sustainable Future: Pilot Program" (FIRST)", which was officially recognized by UNESCO (UNESCO) and selected as the" United Nations International Decade of Science for Sustainable Development (2024-2033)"first roundGlobal Action Plan.
As a core technology unit, will focus on key challenges in global climate and resource issues, focusing on the practical implementation of passive radiation refrigeration (I. e., electroless refrigeration) technology in high temperature and resource-poor areas, helping to build affordable and sustainable global cooling solutions.

In the first round of applications for the "United Nations International Decade of Science for Sustainable Development (2024-2033)" (referred to as the "Decade of Science", IDSSD), only 30 programs around the world have been officially recognized by UNESCO (UNESCO). The results were officially announced at the "Tenth United Nations Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development Goals" on May 7. FIRST (full name is Fostering Innovation for Resilience and Sustainable Transformation) was successfully selected.plan will focus on global challenges such as rising temperatures, loss of biodiversity, uneven energy distribution and water stress, and is committed to improving the overall resilience of the environment and society through affordable and scalable innovative technologies, with special attention to the coping capacity of resource-constrained areas.
Of this international recognition is not only an important milestone for the City University of Hong Kong on global sustainability issues, but also demonstrates its long-term commitment to contribute to the realization of sustainable development through scientific innovation and global partnership.Hong Kong SAR Government, said: "This programme is recognized by UNESCO as a strong example of how collaboration and innovation can together shape a sustainable future. I am very pleased to be able to support this forward-looking initiative and look forward to its positive and far-reaching impact on our community and the wider region."City University, said: "I am deeply honored that City University can play a leading role in this important international initiative and work with global partners to develop innovative solutions that can benefit the people to meet the urgent challenges of sustainable development." President May added: "This plan fully demonstrates the University's commitment to 'creativity. Moving into the future' approach and to providing practical solutions to global challenges."

Zhiyin Cao, co-founder of Chuang Leng Technology and vice dean (International Affairs and Development) of the School of Energy and Environment of City University of Hong Kong, served as the project director of the pilot program. He said that the first phase of the pilot program (FIRST) is expected to be officially launched in June 2025, giving priority to technology pilot and deployment in areas with hot climate and insufficient power supply."This phase will focus onfour itemsScalable and cost-effectiveCore Innovation Technologyfor rapid application in low-income areas. These technologies are directly in line with many of the Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 6 (clean water and sanitation), Goal 7 (clean and affordable energy), Goal 11 (sustainable cities and communities) and Goal 13 (climate action), "said Professor Cao.
Is passive radiation refrigeration coating, which uses local waste materials to manufacture high reflectivity coatings to effectively reduce building temperature and alleviate heat island effect and refrigeration burden; the second is printed solar film to provide low-cost clean energy solutions to enhance power generation capacity and energy autonomy in remote areas; the third is waste biological energy conversion to promote the development of circular economy and reduce dependence on fossil energy; the fourth is human-driven water purification system, use simple equipment to generate safe drinking water and improve basic sanitation and water accessibility
As a pilot programpassive radiation refrigeration technology(I. e., non-electric refrigeration technology), Chuang Cheng Technology will provide key support for the application of technology in high temperature and resource-poor areas with mature product system and global landing experience, and promote the non-electric refrigeration technology to play a role in a wider region, and truly enter the community and serve the public.
Since the establishment of Chuang Chuang Technology, we have continued to apply electroless refrigeration technology to areas with high temperatures and fragile resources."Green cooling + social benefits". Chuang Leng Technology has launched the "No Electricity Cooling Action", and the technology has been implemented in a number of vulnerable communities at home and abroad, covering an area of over 7,000 square meters, helping to improve the quality of life and adaptability of climate vulnerable communities. On a global scale, Chuang Leng Technology's electric refrigeration technology has been applied to more than 380000 square meters of scenes, covering nearly 30 countries and regions, and landing more than 200 application projects.
ChuangLeng Technology patented product electroless refrigeration coating, composed of special polymer and inorganic nanoparticles, compared with ordinary heat insulation coating, its solar reflectivity and infrared radiation rate are as high as 95%, can reflect sunlight with extremely high efficiency, and convert internal heat into mid-infrared band, released into outer space. In practical application, i2Coating can reduce the surface temperature of the building by up to 42 ℃ and the indoor temperature by 6 to 8 ℃, which can not only reduce the discomfort caused by the extreme heat, but also greatly reduce the energy consumption of refrigeration equipment such as air conditioning, and save up to 40% of the electricity bill.ChuangLeng Technology also includes i2Film electroless refrigeration film, which is suitable for various glass structures, taking into account light transmittance and heat insulation effect, and improving indoor comfort and energy efficiency.
In addition, there are diversified products such as coils, textiles, car membranes, tiles, etc., based on the principle of electroless refrigeration technology, to build a multi-scenario product matrix. In the next ten years, Chuang Cheng Technology will carry out verification work in different climatic zones and different application scenarios, promote the localization of radiation refrigeration technology, and help build a new paradigm of affordable, scalable and sustainable cooling.
